The itinerary as follwing:
Day 1: Hà Nội- Bắc Hà
( Meeting: H'Mong Ethnic, Phù Lá Ethnic group)
On the first day you will depart from Hanoi to Bac Ha district, Lao Cai province. Bac Ha is the land of H'Mong ethnic minority group living, known as the White Highlands when white color of plum trees blossom everywhere in February. You will visit Hoang A Tuong’ Palace. A Tưởng was a king of H’Mong ethnic minority group in the early 19th century when Vietnam was still colonised by France. He became rich thanks to planting poppy fields and trading drug, so he built a big palace with unique architecture that mixed native culture and French culture. You will spend time walking to see Bac Ha town, visit shops selling souvenir handmade from brocade, silver and buffalo horn. At the end of the day, you will stay in a beautiful traditional H'Mong Bungalow located in a valley with plum gardens, peach gardens. It is so quiet here at night that you can hear the singing of crickets and night birds.
Day 2: Bắc Hà- Nậm Lỳ Retreat.
( Meeting: La Chí Ethnic, Black Dao Ethnic, H'Mong Ethnic group)
You will visit the traditional local market on Wednesday (Sin Cheng), Friday (Lung Phinh), Saturday (Can Cau), Sunday (Bac Ha/ Coc Pai). Due to difficult terrain, local people often go by foot and it takes a long time even 1 day to go market. Therefore, local markets opend 1 time a week and hold as a weekly festival where locals can buy or sell everything, meet friends and find lovers. The local market is always busy from 6:00 to 11:00 with brocade, handmade silver jewelry, food and drinks shops. You can also visit an animal market stands side by side selling buffaloes, cows, cats, dogs, chickens, ducks.... You will mingle with nature and human life here. In the afternoon, you will arrive at Nậm Lỳ Retreat and have a small hiking, pass through terraces fields as far as the eyes can see and come to a beautiful waterfall in the valley. You will spend the night in a Dao ethnic minority traditional wooden house. Your room overlooks the mountains and terraces fields. You will see the waterfall like white threads flowing down and dim lights of the stilt houses on the other side of the valley look like night stars.
Day 3: Nậm Lỳ Retreat- Hà Nội
( Meeting: Red Dao Ethnic group)
On the way return Hanoi, you will visit the Red Dao ethnic minority in Làng Giang village, a peaceful village has wide rice fields, ancient stilt houses and buffaloes leisurely grazing. You will spend a time to take an Onsen mineral hot water bath on the Làng Giang stream with amazing scenery. After lunch you can walk on the flat village road, visit local families, take photos and drink some tea or vodka with them. On the way back, you will have nice moments to stop drink a hot cup of coffee made by Lee himself. Lee is a 6 years experiences tour guide. He speaks English well and drive safely. He understands the customs and traditions in Northwest highland and he will share many interesting stories during the journey to you.

Jour 1 : Hanoï – Bắc Hà
(Rencontre : ethnies H’Mong et Phù Lá)
Le premier jour, vous partirez de Hanoï pour rejoindre le district de Bắc Hà, province de Lào Cai.
Bắc Hà est le territoire du peuple H’Mong, surnommé les « Hauts Plateaux Blancs » lorsque les pruniers sont en fleurs en février.
Vous visiterez le Palais de Hoàng A Tưởng. A Tưởng était un chef H’Mong au début du XIXᵉ siècle, à l’époque de la colonisation française. Devenu riche grâce à la culture du pavot et au commerce de l’opium, il fit construire un grand palais au style architectural unique, mêlant culture locale et influence française.
Vous aurez ensuite du temps pour vous promener dans la ville de Bắc Hà et découvrir les boutiques de souvenirs fabriqués à la main : brocarts, bijoux en argent, objets en corne de buffle.
En fin de journée, vous passerez la nuit dans un magnifique bungalow traditionnel H’Mong, situé dans une vallée entourée de pruniers et de pêchers. Le calme est tel que l’on entend le chant des grillons et des oiseaux de nuit.
Jour 2 : Bắc Hà – Nậm Lỳ Retreat
(Rencontre : ethnies La Chí, Dao Noir, H’Mong)
Le matin, visite d’un marché traditionnel : mercredi (Sin Cheng), vendredi (Lùng Phình), samedi (Cán Cấu), dimanche (Bắc Hà / Cốc Pài).
En raison du relief difficile, les habitants locaux se déplacent souvent à pied, parfois une journée entière pour rejoindre le marché. C’est pourquoi ces marchés n’ont lieu qu’une fois par semaine, véritables fêtes où l’on vend, achète, retrouve amis et amoureux.
De 6h à 11h, les marchés sont animés : étoffes en brocart, bijoux en argent, stands de nourriture, boissons et même un marché aux animaux (buffles, vaches, chiens, chats, poulets, canards…). Une immersion totale dans la vie locale.
L’après-midi, arrivée au Nậm Lỳ Retreat. Petite randonnée à travers des rizières en terrasses à perte de vue, menant à une superbe cascade dans la vallée. Nuit dans une maison traditionnelle en bois de l’ethnie Dao. Votre chambre donne sur les montagnes et les rizières. Au loin, la cascade ressemble à des fils blancs tombant du ciel, tandis que les lumières des maisons sur pilotis brillent comme des étoiles dans la nuit.
Jour 3 : Nậm Lỳ Retreat – Hanoï
(Rencontre : ethnie Dao Rouge)
Sur le chemin du retour vers Hanoï, vous visiterez le village Dao Rouge de Làng Giang, paisible, avec ses vastes rizières, ses anciennes maisons sur pilotis et ses buffles paissant tranquillement.
Vous profiterez d’un bain Onsen dans une source chaude minérale le long de la rivière, dans un cadre naturel magnifique. Après le déjeuner, promenade dans le village sur des chemins plats, visite de familles locales, partage d’un thé ou d’un verre de vodka, et moments conviviaux avec les habitants.
Sur la route du retour, vous aurez aussi une pause agréable autour d’un café chaud préparé par Lee, votre guide expérimenté depuis 6 ans. Il parle bien anglais, conduit prudemment et connaît parfaitement les coutumes et traditions des montagnes du Nord-Ouest, qu’il vous racontera avec passion tout au long du voyage.
